Blogging Tips: Getting more eyeballs on your content

Looking for blogging tips for getting more eyeballs on you content? We all know we should be blogging and sharing great information to help our audience. If we are, many of us are wondering how to get more eyeballs on our blog posts (which of course is amazing content for our ideal clients and our market).

It can be frustrating to invest time, energy, and effort to put together a great post and then….crickets! Let’s talk about what to do about it.

Here are 3 easy-to-implement blogging tips for getting more eyeballs on your content.

  1. Ask your readers one question inside the post. Make it very specific. Ask them to post their answer on your blog. Believe it or not, some will! You can ask something simple like “What do you think? Agree or disagree?” or “What solution have you found to this problem?”
  2. Engage with those who commented. Ever posted a comment on someone’s blog and they never acknowledged it? That is a sure way to lose the interest of your readers. Be sure to comment, even if you don’t agree with their opinion. There is always something to learn from another perspective. Sending a personal email to the person who commented, thanking them for taking time to do so, with a link back to the post where you replied is an option to consider too. We never know where a new personal connection created this way might lead (in terms of a potential clients, a referral source, or a great ally).
  3. Share your post with your email list! If they do not know the post is there, how can we expect to get traffic to it? Add a teaser short few sentences to your email and link to the post. Note that this is exactly what I did with this post. You may be reading this because it was linked to my email to you this week.
